Restart a Heart Day

It's Restart a Heart Day on Monday 16 October – a designated day of action that aims to give as many young people as possible the opportunity to learn life-saving first aid skills.

We’ve put together a whole host of activities in our one-hour suggested session to help you teach the first aid skill unresponsive and not breathing. The use of a film, case study, role play, active learning and discussion questions makes for an interactive and energetic first aid session. By the end of the session, your students should have the confidence and skills to help someone who is unresponsive and not breathing. Download the session plan.

Last year more than 100,000 young people learnt first aid on Restart a Heart Day. This year’s target is 150,000 – can you help to beat it? Find out more about how you can get involved in Restart a Heart Day.
